Global sustainability ranking lists six Finns
This is the third time that Neste has been placed in the top three of the listing.Neste
Six Finnish firms have been included on the Global 100 list of the world’s most sustainable corporations.
The Finnish sextet is made up of oil refining and marketing company Neste (3rd), mining technology and plant project developer Outotec (18th), forest industry specialist UPM-Kymmene (24th), lift and escalator manufacturer KONE (32nd), forest industry company Metso (66th) and food and beverage retailer Kesko (99th) These companies also made last year’s ranking.
Compiled annually by Toronto-based media and investment advisory Corporate Knights, the Global 100 list assessed 7 395 companies with more than 1 billion US dollars in revenues. A total of 21 key performance indicators were used to create the listing, including environmental performance, resource management, employee management, financial management, clean revenue and supplier performance.
Neste was ranked in the top three for the third time.
