DAILY BRIEF: A telecom deal, chocolate launches, top Finnish entertainment and plant-based protein
A film remake of Tove Jansson's classic Comet in Moominland will be released this fall to celebrate the great Finnish artist and 75 years of the Moomins.

Tecnotree signs a telecom deal in the Caribbean, Goodio launches its chocolate in Russia and Canada, Cinematic brings out top Finnish entertainment with SF Studios, and Gold&Green Foods’ plant-based protein lands in the US.
Tecnotree, a Finnish IT solutions provider for the telecommunications industry, has signed a new deal with one of the largest operators of fixed telephony services in the Caribbean Islands. The operator aims to improve customer experience and cut down operational costs by streamlining all its value-added services, such as voicemail and videomail, onto a single cloud-based platform provided by Tecnotree.
Finnish chocolate company Goodio has brought its vegan and organic chocolates to the Russian and Canadian markets. Goodio’s chocolates are now available in all Prisma Russia stores in St. Petersburg, and the Finnish company has also launched them in Canada with a local distributor and in the country’s largest bookstore chain, Indigo. The North American expansion was a natural next step for Goodio, as it has been growing in the US with Whole Foods Market since 2017.
Finnish production company Cinematic has expanded its deal with Swedish SF Studios to develop and distribute upcoming films Comet in Moominland, a remake of the animated Moomin classic from 1992, and When the Doves Disappeared, a film based on Sofi Oksanen’s latest best-selling novel. In addition, the two partners are working on the already announced action-thriller series Omerta and two new feature films Omerta 6/12 and Omerta 7/12, featuring an all-star Finnish cast. SF Studios will be responsible for the Nordic distribution of the new films, while REinvent Studios will handle the international sales of Omerta.
Finland’s Gold&Green Foods has launched its Pulled Oats plant-based protein across the US with leading global foods distribution company Sysco. Already introduced in many European countries, the food innovation made from oats, beans and peas now joins the Sysco Simply brand family in the US, where it will be introduced nationwide through Sysco’s Cutting Edge Solutions programme.
