Precordior and Popit start global collaborations with Novartis, Business Finland and Tech Mahindra bring 5G and 6G innovation to Finland, and Airport College International finds a local partner in the UAE.

Finnish health tech firms partner with Novartis

Finnish health technology companies Precordior and Popit have signed global collaboration agreements with Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis. The co-operation with Precordior will seek to further develop and deploy the Finnish startup’s technology for detecting heart disease symptoms with a smartphone. Popit, on the other hand, has developed a mobile app that tracks medication use through a sensor device attached to a blister sheet of tablets. Popit and Novartis will carry out the first pilots around Europe starting in 2019, with a focus on neurology.


Tech Mahindra to set up 5G and 6G lab in Finland

Tech Mahindra, a multinational IT company based in India, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Finnish public funding agency Business Finland for research and development in 5G and 6G. The collaboration will bring an innovation lab to Finland, where universities, research institutes, government, companies and other key players can come together and drive innovation in 5G and 6G. The agreement was signed in the presence of Timo Harakka, Finland’s Minister of Employment, and Jari Gustafsson, the permanent secretary at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.

Airport College International finds partner in the UAE

Airport College International, a Finnish online training service for airlines, airport ground handling agents and logistics, has launched a new partnership with Merlintech FZE, which will represent in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia. Merlintech FZE is dedicated to helping international companies to establish themselves in the Middle East region.
