Located in the Tehran Pars district, the restaurant is run by a local franchise entrepreneur.
“Iran has a market of 80 million customers, who don’t yet have access to Western burger restaurants,” says Hesburger CEO Kari Salmela. “We see it as an opportunity. Our goal is to open one to two restaurants per year in Iran.”

The news follows the announcement in March that Hesburger is opening nine new restaurants in Bulgaria.
