PGA names Birdietime as its official partner
Birdietime Innovations, a company founded by passionate golfers from Finland and Ireland, has developed a golf-related booking, administration and marketing service for PGA Professionals.
The web-based service connects amateur golfers and golf instructors, reduces the number of no-shows for golf lessons, and allows golf instructors to focus more on teaching by reducing their administrative workload.
“We want to free up PGA Professionals’ time from boring administrative tasks and let them focus on more profitable and enjoyable activities,” summarisesMikko Back, the founder and chief golf officer at Birdietime.
“Our mission is to help golfers save strokes and enjoy the game more by making instruction services a natural and easily accessible part of golf,” he tells.
The partnership will also enable the digital service provider to develop business relationships with professional golfers and continue its expansion across Ireland, Great Britain and the European Union. Birdietime already has more than 200 registered professionals in countries such as Finland and the UK.
Hamish Ferguson, an executive director at the PGA, says the worldwide umbrella organisation for golf professionals is delighted to announce the partnership with Birdietime.
“Mikko and his innovative team have created a fantastic digital platform in a short space of time that I’m sure will be of great benefit to many of our members,” he states. “I am confident this is the start of a long and successful partnership.”
