Noccela was recognised with awards in two categories: for intelligent product protection in the Most Innovative In-Store Surveillance Solution category and for its Sales Boost feature in the Most Innovative Cross-Functional Solution category.

Top risk management professionals from Europe and the US picked the winners, who were presented with the awards at the Fraud Awards 2018 gala organised by Retail Risk.

“Our smart product protection is based on real-time product tracking,” says Tapani Talvitie, CEO of Noccela, in a press release. “With our technology in place, stealing products from stores is nearly impossible without triggering alerts or notifications. Our solutions for sales promotion are based on the same technology, activating store staff to better serve customers through smart product alerts.”

Noccela was also recognised at the American Fraud Awards earlier this year as a ‘highly commended’ newcomer. Its anti-theft alarm tags are used by large retail chains, which convinced Norwegian sports retail chain XXL so fully that it decided to roll them out in its stores across Finland.

The Finnish startup has attracted international interest right from the start, including from the Netherlands, where it secured substantial funding in both 2015 and 2016.
