MacGregor celebrates joint venture in China

MacGregor, part of Cargotec, has been collaborating with China State Shipbuilding Corporation’s (CSSC) Nanjing Luzhou Machine for 30 years, and the new joint venture will mark the beginning of new long-term strategic co-operation between the companies.

The business model and organisational structure for the joint venture were drawn up during 2017 and the business license obtained in March 2018. The co-operation will begin by focusing on air compressors but be expanded step by step to cover more products.

China is the world’s largest market for shipbuilding, and the new strategic co-operation with China’s largest shipbuilder CSSC will allow MacGregor to enhance its footprint on the Asian market and be closer to customers, partners and key stakeholders.
