Finnish company Huoleti has been chosen by UK-based Public Group International as one of the most exciting government technology (govtech) startups transforming Europe’s public services.

Huoleti’s digital platform helps patients with severe illnesses build peer support networks that invite volunteers and loved ones to help them with everyday tasks. Huoleti also lends support to the patients’ loved ones, who can build their own peer networks through the service.

The Finnish company was included in the UK-based govtech investment and research firm Public’s list of 21 European startups that are transforming the govtech sector in Europe. Govtech covers new technologies applied to public services, such as health, education and transport.

Huoleti’s main customers are private sector healthcare providers, insurance companies and patient associations, and its partner network includes the world’s largest cancer company Roche.

Huoleti also has an ongoing funding round on Finnish crowdfunding platform Invesdor.
