First up is Vaisala, with plans to build a close to 3 000-square-metre office building in the US. The new building will be located next to Vaisala’s existing office premises in Louisville, Colorado, that will also undergo refurbishment. The projected price tag is 12 million euros.

Then onto Valmet, which is collaborating with Finnish energy company Fortum and Swedish refinery company Preem to scale up the development of technology that produces sustainable bio-oil. The two Finnish companies have previously worked on the technology together with VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.

Valmet will also deliver three Valmet IQ quality-control systems fitted with Valmet IQ optical sensors to Italian system integrator E.I.L.. The systems will be installed on E.I.L.’s three new tissue machines in the EMEA area.

Metso, meanwhile, will supply its first EtaRip metal recycling pre-shedder unit in North America. The order came from Milliron Iron & Metal.

Finally to Pöyry, which has won the engineering services assignment for the expansion of the Salgado Filho Airport, located in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The order was awarded by the HTBM consortium made up of contractors HTB, Tedesco and Barbosa Mello.
