Finnish firms land deals in Europe and Mexico

Finnish companies Valmet and Outotec are delivering equipment and providing expert services in Germany, Spain and Mexico.

First to Valmet, which has signed an agreement for on-line performance monitoring of nine Valmet TwinRoll wash presses at the Mercer Stendal mill in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The agreement is valid for one year and includes an extension option. With the help of advanced data analysis, Valmet and Mercer will further develop management of the wash presses in regards to predictive maintenance and reliability.

Valmet has also been selected as the supplier of a new non-wovens rewinder for an existing paper machine at Papel Aralar’s paper mill in Amézqueta, Guipúzcoa, Spain. The new piece of machinery is expected to be operational in the second quarter of 2019.

Then on to Outotec, which will deliver a complete minerals processing plant for a precious metals project in Mexico. The same customer has also ordered process equipment from Outotec for upgrading two other sulphide silver ore processes. The contracts are worth around 30 million euros in total, and the deliveries will take place in the end of 2019.
