Cinia connects with Megaport

The partnership seeks to meet the growing demand for intelligent and scalable solutions.istock.com/ chombosan

Finnish provider of intelligent connectivity solutions Cinia has partnered with Australian cloud and network service provider Megaport.

Combining forces will provide customers with direct cloud access to leading Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and data centers in Europe via a robust network, bypassing the internet. An ecosystem of 250 CSPs will provide direct access through Cinia’s C-Lion1 Submarine cable,  which stretches from Finland to Central and Western Europe.

According to Cinia SVPTaneli Vuorinen, the two companies seek to address latency issues experienced when European enterprises are located far from data centres that house public CSPs.

“We wanted to deliver an option for customers to access direct connectivity to cloud services and give them the autonomy to dial these connections up and down as their business demands require it,” he states.

The announcement follows agreements that Cina has inked with Russian communications provider TTK and IT Norrbotten in Sweden.
