QPR Software wins order from telecom firm

QPR Software has won an order for its process mining software from one of the largest telecommunications operators in Europe. The client plans to use the software, QPR ProcessAnalyzer, to find inefficiencies and areas of improvement in service provisioning processes and services provided by other collaborating operators. Checkout Finland joins Nets Group

Finnish e-commerce firm Checkout Finland has been acquired by Paytrail, the Finnish subsidiary of Nets Group. A part of OP Financial Group, Checkout Finland provides payment services online and to physical shops, as well as operates a mobile payments channel. The company has around 8 000 customers and expects its revenue to close at 12 million euros for 2020. The acquisition is part of a larger consolidation trend of financial technology firms in Europe. Helsinki and Singapore link smart city efforts

Helsinki Business Hub (HBH) has started an initiative to connect Finnish companies with industry partners in Singapore to co-develop and pilot smart city solutions. HBH will be partnering with the state-backed Smart Urban Co-Innovation Lab, which brings together pioneers in the smart cities space to co-create and test innovations at CapitaLand’s Singapore Science Park. The latest in a string of initiatives by HBH to promote trade and co-operation between Singapore and Finland, the collaboration will serve as another gateaway for Finnish companies to enter Asia and vice versa. Ultracom acquired by Open Air Group

Open Air Group (OAG) has completed the acquisition of Ultracom, a Finnish developer and supplier of dog tracking software and equipment with extensive knowhow in wireless data transmission. Ultracom Group’s net sales were around 5.5 million euros in 2020. Ultracom will now join forces with Tracker, a part of OAG, to create a strong Nordic platform for digital hunting experiences and tracking solutions. Pemamek delivers welding robot to US shipyard

Finnish provider of welding and production automation solutions Pemamek has delivered a new welding robot station to the LaShip shipyard in Louisiana, belonging to Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO). The PEMA VRWP-C robot station is a compact solution used to automatise micro-panel welding and other small-to-medium-sized constructions.
