DISH partners with Nokia to build 5G network

Connected wires.

DISH Network has selected Nokia’s cloud-native standalone core software to build its 5G network in the US. The deal follows months of joint testing in which Nokia and DISH proved their respective “any cloud” capabilities in multiple cloud environments and Nokia displayed its ability to supply a fully cloud-native, containerised end-to-end solution. Nokia’s software products will provide DISH with the speed, agility, intelligence and security required for 5G-era services while enabling cost-efficient network management with near zero-touch automation and adherence to service-level agreements.
