HUS makes Newsweek‘s list of world’s best hospitals

Helsinki University Hospital (HUS) has been ranked as the 21st best hospital in the world by American magazine Newsweek. The ranking is based on reviews from both health professionals and patients, which nudged HUS up from last year’s 25th position. This is the third time that Newsweek has partnered with data research firm Statista to rank the top 100 hospitals in the world. Image: HUS
Oilon wins order from China’s largest battery farm

Finnish energy and environmental technology company Oilon will supply heat pumps for a battery farm in Dalian, Northeast China. Oilon’s pump system will be used to cool the batteries of the facility and feed their waste heat into the city’s district heating network. The battery farm will be the largest in China and one of the largest in the world, with a peak power capacity of 200 megawatts and electricity storage capacity of 800 megawatt hours. Nitro Games gives helping hand to US studio

Finnish mobile game developer Nitro Games has signed an agreement to provide a US-based mobile game publisher with game development services for an existing mobile title. The 200 000-euro agreement follows Nitro Games’ strategy, where, in addition to developing games based on its own IP, it is offering services to selected customers. Nitro Games focuses on mobile shooter games, and its titles include Lootland, Heroes of Warland, and theHunter: Mobile (part of Expansive World’s successful theHunter franchise). Olvi grows stronger in Latvia

Finnish beverage company Olvi is strengthening its position in Latvia through its local subsidiary Cesu Alus, which will acquire the entire stock of Piebalgas Alus, a widely known microbrewery based in the province of Vidzeme. The acquisition will build Olvi’s portfolio in premium craft beers and kvass in the retail, and food service and hotel markets. Piebalga Alus was established in 1989. Image: Piebalgas Alus
