Quartet from Finland makes it to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list for Europe
Four entrepreneurs with a Finnish connection were included in the list of most talented young entrepreneurs in Europe reinventing business and society.
Julia BushuevaFinnish-based entrepreneurs were featured in four of the annual ranking’s categories: technology, manufacturing and industry, media and marketing, and retail and e-commerce.
Iranthi Gomes, a Sri Lankan living in Finland, was named one of the brightest young entrepreneurs in the European technology space for her role as a co-founder and chief executive of Serviceform, a startup offering a 13-tool suite for converting website traffic, communicating with customers, managing marketing processes and organising email campaigns.
The Turku-based startup has raised three million US dollars since its establishment under the leadership of Gomes, according to Forbes.
Tuomas Hooli, CEO of Winda Energy, was recognised in the manufacturing and industry category of the ranking. The Helsinki-based wind farm developer has secured funding for over a gigawatt worth of wind energy projects and has over 200 megawatts of capacity under construction across Finland.
The media and marketing category featured Jesse Pyy, founding partner of Bou. The Helsinki-based 20-person branding agency boasts a roster of some 1 000 freelancers across 30 countries and generated 1.5 million US dollars in revenue in 2021, serving companies such as Metacore, Polestar and Supercell.
Ere Partanen was recognised by the business magazine in the retail and e-commerce category for his involvement in the successful story of The Long Drink Company. The Finnish startup has grown into a beverage operation with 15 million US dollars in sales through stockists including Walmart, Kroger and Target.
The Helsinki-based exporter of hard sodas also raised 25 million US dollars in 2021.
