The VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and the New Zealand-based research centre Scion have signed a collaboration agreement.

The newly signed agreement will bring both organisations’ expertise in global bioeconomy issues even closer together.

VTT and Scion also plan to jointly seek EU funding and global bioeconomy projects, particularly in Asia. In addition, the agreement will open up new commercialisation opportunities for both companies.

The first joint project will be about applying VTT’s wood material expertise in New Zealand and developing a bio-based film for the packaging industry.
