US and Germany get heavy with Finnish film

Finnish heavy metal comedy Heavy Trip (Hevi reissu) has been picked up by distributors in the US and Germany.

Heavy Trip is being released by Doppelgänger Releasing in the US and Ascot Elite in Germany. The sales were facilitated by the film’s international sales rep, LevelK in Denmark.

Directed by Jukka Vidgren and Juuso Laatio, Heavy Trip tells the story of four small-town friends who get the opportunity of a lifetime to play at the hottest metal festival in Norway.

Heavy Trip received its world premiere in March at SXSW in Texas.
