YIT will build and repair a dam in southern Norway, KONE is equipping a mixed-use development in Singapore’s Central Business District with lifts and escalators, and Tuxera is acquiring Datalight to form a storage management software powerhouse.
KONE has won an order to equip the Central Boulevard Towers mixed-use development in Singapore with 47 lifts and escalators. KONE’s innovations, such as the UltraRope technology, and intelligent connected services will also be implemented into the complex. Central Boulevard Towers is located in Singapore’s Central Business District and being developed by Wealthy Link, a subsidiary of IOI Properties. It will feature premium office and retail spaces.
Finnish construction company YIT will build a new dam at Lake Mjåvatn in Norway to replace the old dam built in the 1940s, as well as repair the Kuli Dam from the mid-1960s. The new dam will be approximately 100 metres long and 11 metres high at the highest point. It is being built for E-CO Energi in the municipality of Ål in southern Norway. Meanwhile, the 320-metre long and 22-metre high Kuli Dam will be repaired for Agder Energi in Sirdal in southern Norway.
Finland-based storage software and networking technology company Tuxera has agreed to acquire Datalight, a North American developer of embedded file systems, flash management and acceleration software. The combined company will offer the most comprehensive embedded storage management software portfolio on the market.
