Tapaus acquires Swedish event agency Eventyr, TuuliWatti and Vattenfall strike an energy services deal, Caverion delivers building solutions in Germany, and UpCloud raises significant coin.
Finnish event marketing agency Tapaus has acquired Eventyr and expanded to the Swedish market. Eventyr is an award-winning event marketing agency based in Stockholm with 32 employees and a growing turnover. Its managing director, Sofi Franzén, was named Sweden’s CEO of the Year in 2018. Following the acquisition, Tapaus Group’s turnover is estimated to reach around 50 million euros in 2020.
Finnish wind farm operator TuuliWatti and Swedish energy group Vattenfall have signed a five-year deal in which Vattenfall will provide forecasting, trading and balancing services for TuuliWatti’s entire wind power production. TuuliWatti is Finland’s largest wind power company, accounting for approximately 20 per cent of the country’s annual wind power production.
Finnish company Caverion will deliver cooling, heating and sanitation solutions for leading German automotive industry supplier Continental’s new corporate headquarters in Hannover, Germany. The new headquarters is made up of two building complexes connected by a pedestrian bridge and will house around 1 250 employees, a canteen, health centre, company day care centre and parking spaces.
Finnish cloud service provider UpCloud has secured 18 million euros in an equity and debt funding round led by the Netherlands-based Connected Capital & Partners, with participation from state-owned Finnish Industry Investment and Finnish venture capital company Inventure. UpCloud plans to use the funding to recruit more than 100 new employees and launch over 10 new data centres worldwide in the coming two years.
