Finnair adds capacity to Sapporo, Japan
Finnish airline Finnair is extending its new winter season route between Helsinki, Finland, and Sapporo, Japan, to a year-round twice-weekly service. On 15 December, Finnair will start the flights to Sapporo, which is the capital of the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, a popular winter and skiing destination known for its seafood and ramen, and hot springs. Fazer invests EUR 30 million into its oats business
Finnish food company Fazer is injecting 30 million euros into its oats mills in Lahti, Finland, and Lidköping, Sweden, to meet rapidly growing global demand. The investment will be equally divided between the two sites, where two new mills will be constructed to double Fazer’s oat milling capacity. Earlier this year, the Finnish company announced a significant investment in a xylitol production facility next to the Lahti mill that will produce xylitol from oat hulls.
