Neste has been lauded as a clean air champion in the US.

Kalmar is delivering shuttle carriers in the US, Peikko is collaborating with a university in Latvia, The Qt Company and Neste have won awards, and KONE is supplying lifts and escalators for a new metro line in China.
Kalmar, part of Cargotec, will deliver 25 hybrid shuttle carriers to The Port of Virginia, a growing deep-water port on the East Coast of the US. The order is worth 23 million US dollars (approx. 20.7 million euros) and was placed by Norfolk International Terminals (NIT), the largest terminal at the port capable of handling the biggest vessels in the Atlantic trade. Kalmar has a long-standing supplier relationship with the port.
Finnish engineering company Peikko Group is expanding its collaboration with the Riga Technical University’s Faculty of Civil Engineering. The co-operation will focus on finding research topics for master’s and doctoral students, facilitating internships at Peikko, providing lectures and organising building site visits, as well as engaging in joint research.
Finland’s The Qt Company has received Frost & Sullivan’s Customer Value Leadership Award in the category of Global Automotive User Interface/User Experience Software. Qt is supporting automotive manufacturers in building next-generation cars with its software portfolio that unifies the vehicle’s multiple interfaces into an integrated digital cockpit. The Finnish company has recently secured deals with many leading car brands and tier-one suppliers, including Daimler, Peugeot, Harman, Neusoft, Parrot Faurecia and LG Electronics.
Neste has won the Clean Air Champion Award from the board of the East Bay Clean Cities Coalition for its role as a leading provider of renewable diesel fuel in the East Bay area of California, the US. Available in several cities in California and Oregon, Neste’s renewable diesel reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80 per cent compared to conventional petroleum diesel.
KONE will supply 29 lifts and 125 escalators, as well as provide 5 years of maintenance services, for a new metro line in Nanning, the capital of the Guangxi Zhuang region in southern China. The new Metro Line 4 will be 24.6 kilometres long and have 29 stations, forming an important east-west connection in the growing Nanning Rail Transit Network.
