Finnish software company Wirepas has raised 14.4 million euros in funding from Finnish Industry Investment (Tesi) and KPN Ventures, as well as existing investors ETF Partners, Inventure and Vito Ventures. The capital will be used on the global Wirepas ecosystem and continuous product development. The Finnish company’s wireless connectivity platform is solving major challenges of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and enabling broad adoption of massive IoT. Finnish digital healthcare company VideoVisit has secured 1.5 million euros in financing, which it plans to use for internationalisation. VideoVisit is the market leader in virtual care and remote healthcare services in Finland. Canadian coffee retailer Second Cup Coffee Company has opened its first café in Finland and the Baltic region. The 1 500 square-foot café is located in Helsinki’s city centre, in the Kamppi neighbourhood. Finnish company Tehokuivaus is being acquired by Polygon. The acquisition will strengthen the water and fire damage restoration capabilities of Polygon Finland, and add around 60 employees and approximately 7 million euros in turnover to Polygon’s Finnish subsidiary.
