The Helsinki-based mobile gaming company Supercell has announced a 60 per cent pre-tax profit increase to 838 million euros from last year.

The Clash of the Clans creator announced the impressive increase in return shortly after its fourth global release, Clash Royale, came out this month. The game is already the top grossing game in 44 countries.

Supercell was established in 2010 and has moved on to employ 180 people in five different countries.

The company operates in a unique way by dividing a large team into smaller ‘cells’ in order to improve working relationships. Supercell claims that by doing this they are reducing the likelihood of disruption in a team.

Supercell CEO Ilkka Paananen says that “enough time and some luck” were partial reasons for the improved success.
