Mint of Finland to produce coins for Bolivia
The Central Bank of Bolivia and Mint of Finland have reached a two-year agreement for the manufacturing of Bs5 denomination circulation coins.
The contract covers the production and delivery of 88 million pieces of bolivianos. The deliveries will occur in 2017 and 2018.
This is the first collaboration between the two parties.
Mint of Finland CEO Jonne Hankimaa deems the agreement significant. In a release, he points out that the company has further strengthened its position in South America.
Mint of Finland Group generates revenue from three business areas: blanks, circulation coins and collector coins. The group operates in three countries and delivers blanks and circulation coins to central banks and mints globally.
Mint of Finland is owned by the Republic of Finland.
