Metso wins another contract in Senegal
Finnish industrial company Metso has inked a contract with Gécamines for a complete crushing and screening plant near Dakar, Senegal.
The deal includes the full-engineered design and supply of the primary and secondary crushing and screening stations with new crushers and screens. As part of the agreement Metso will also integrate the reuse of existing equipment, including tertiary crushers, a secondary screen and conveyors.
Metso is also delivering a C125 jaw crusher, an HP300 cone crusher and retrofitting two HP200 crushers for the tertiary station to produce 250 t/h of aggregate for local markets.
This represents the second such order from Gécamines, a subsidiary of the Vicat group, following a 2011 contract between the two companies.
The amount of the deal has not been disclosed.
