Magisso lands coin from South Korea
Award-winning Finnish design house Magisso has closed a funding round led by NXC, the holding company of South Korea’s largest game company.
In addition to NXC, Magisso’s current investors and operative directors participated in the round.
Magisso will utilise the capital boost to accelerate its international growth and to continue developing bespoke concepts for international customers, as well as to create functional design items to the pet market.
“We’re happy with this collaboration,” notes Magisso CEO Juhani Sirén. “NXC brings Magisso news opportunities in the Asian market and added value and expertise to our team. However, the most important thing is that we share the same mindset and values. In general, this is a big step for Finnish design business.”
According to James Kim, team manager of business and brand development at NXC, the company developed an interest in Magisso due to its innovative, design-based solutions.
“Magisso’s products aren’t only beautiful, but also they tie together innovative functional features,” he adds.
The press release (in Finnish) doesn’t disclose the sum of the investment.
