Koukoi Games crashes MENA market
Koukoi Games is launching a culturally tailored version of its debut game, Crashing Season, in the Middle East and North Africa region with Jordanian game producer Maysalward.
The strategic partnership with Maysalward ensures that Koukoi already has a foot in the door when it launches Crashing Season in the challenging MENA market.
”The Middle East and North Africa region has its own set of challenges, which makes it faster for the outside game producer to proceed to the market with a partner that already has steady access to all local distribution channels and app stores upheld by local operators,” CEO of Koukoi, Antti Kananen explains.
The Oulu-based Koukoi’s debut game, Crashing Season, is an action-packed game played with animal characters who take on enemies by crashing into them, using character specific abilities or with little helpers who can be upgraded along the way of heedless running.
Koukoi soft launched Crashing Season in Canada and Australia before taking on the Asian market, where it used the same strategy of partnering up with local game producers when launching Crashing Season in Japan and China.
