The list of investors includes names such as Bruce J. Oreck, the former US Ambassador to Finland, Finnish startup investor Inka Mero, chairman of the Finnish Business Angel Network FIBAN Torsti Tenhunen and business angel Pasi Joronen.
On top of the funding, Immersal has closed a deal with Finnkino, Finland’s largest movie theatre chain and part of Odeon Group, owned by AMC. The duo started their co-operation at the IMAX launch event and have signed a letter of intent regarding expanding the use of Immersal’s AR solution.
Immersal’s shared augmented reality platform is targeted at retail chains globally, blending physical and digital shopping experiences.
