Finnish trio among world’s top young universities
Times Higher Education has released its annual Young University Rankings, with three Finnish institutions among the globe’s best.
Altogether, the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2017 listed the top 200 universities in the world under 50 years of age. Among these prestigious global institutions, Aalto University was ranked 27th, the University of Eastern Finland 54th and Lappeenranta University of Technology between 100–150.
Each of the young universities was assessed across their teaching, research, citations, international outlook and industry income.
Aalto University was also ranked fifth in the world among institutions that were founded in the 21st century.
