The Finnish game company Motorious Entertainment has signed a contract with the BBC to develop three mobile games based on the hit series Top Gear.

The news were first reported by the Finnish business magazine Talouselämä.

The first game based on the brand should be released next year, the magazine writes.

Motorious Entertainment’s CEO Jari Pauna is no stranger to the British TV series: Pauna is editor-in-chief of the Finnish Top Gear Magazine.

An important aspect of the contract, according to Pauna, is that the games will be promoted through all the BBC’s Top Gear media channels.

“The theme will be Roadtrip, a special released on DVD. The game will feature many familiar events from the series,” Pauna told Talouselämä.

Motorious Entertainment is a game company founded in 2015, currently employing five people.
