Finnair expands flight service in time for summer
Finnair is adding two new European routes and increasing capacity on its popular destinations. The airline will also strengthen its position in China with a new year-round route.
Finnair will add new non-stop flights to Lisbon and Stuttgart for its summer 2018 lineup, as well as increase capacity on its flights to Tokyo, Chicago, San Francisco, Bangkok and Delhi. Several of Finnair’s popular short haul destinations will also experience a boost during the 2018 summer.
The four new weekly flights to Lisbon, Portugal will offer convenient connections for passengers travelling to and from Asia, while the new Stuttgart route will be Finnair’s sixth in Germany and is set to open on 23 April.
“Traffic between Europe and Asia continues to grow, and Finnair’s expanding network now offers more choice than ever before for our customers,” says Juha Järvinen, chief commercial officer at Finnair.
Finnair is also looking to strengthen its position on the Chinese market with a new year-round route between Helsinki and Nanjing in China set to commence on 13 May 2018.
“We are very pleased to be expanding our growing network in China with the addition of Nanjing, our seventh destination in Greater China,” Järvinen says. “Finnair is fast becoming one of the biggest and most preferred European carriers operating between Europe and China.”
