Finland remains competitive globally
The World Competitiveness Ranking has placed Finland 20th on its annual list.
This year IMD World Competitiveness Center looked at 61 countries worldwide to compile its annual list. A total of 340 criteria were used for the assessment of each, derived from economic performance, government efficiency, business efficiency and infrastructure.
Finland’s position overall remains unchanged from last year.
The country’s infrastructure was once again ranked fifth worldwide, and showed improvement on last year’s ranking in the pillar of economic performance, by moving up to 47th position. However, both its government and business efficiency took a slight step backward to 21st position.
Overall, China Hong Kong was ranked first this year, followed by Switzerland and the USA. Venezuela, meanwhile, was at the other end of the scale.
