XAMK signs agreement with Henan University
The South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (XAMK) has signed an agreement with Henan University to provide a degree programme in nursing to the Chinese university.
The education services will mostly focus on the so-called double degree programme in nursing, which will be organised with Henan University. In addition, Henan is looking to educate its teachers at XAMK and begin tailoring a master’s degree in nursing for its specific needs.
“This is a significant international opener for our degree programme in nursing,” said Katri Ryttyläinen-Korhonen, the director of education at XAMK.
The agreement is a result of nurturing business ties with Henan and other Chinese counterparts, which is something XAMK’s Small Business Center started at the turn of the millennium.
“The deal is a concrete and wonderful success resulting from long-term co-operation and determined endeavours,” said Anne Gustafsson-Pesonen, the director of XAMK’s Small Business Center.
XAMK is also one of the building blocks to a buzzing community of game developers in Kotka, which has produced the likes of newly awarded indie game developer Kukouri.
