Tampere Hall gains global recognition

The gala consisted of almost 80 different categories, ranging from best event management solutions to best community engagement event. Entries into the gala were made from 42 different countries and totalled at 331. Eventex was organised for the ninth time and streamed live for all audiences.

Tampere Hall caught the jury’s attention in the two categories for its “impressive growth and achievements over the past five years” and its community events with public stakeholders.

The jury consisted of 50 event industry professionals, who chose the winners according to criteria based on creativity, innovation, efficiency and results.

Tampere Hall is the biggest in conference and concert centre in the Nordics and draws 600 000 visitors annually to roughly 1 000 events. The venue’s economic output for the Tampere region is estimated to be 47 million euros.

The distinguished hotel chain Marriott International has plans to open a brand new hotel, connected to the venue, at the end of 2019. The 11-storey hotel will offer 229 rooms to business customers and tourists visiting the most populous inland city in the Nordics.
