SabriScan expands to Morocco

SabriScan is a family-owned business, founded in 1998. SabriScan

Finnish mould manufacturer SabriScan has signed a letter of intent that will enable it to access the automotive industry ecosystem in Morocco.

The partnership is the first of its kind for a mould supplier for Morocco’s automotive ecosystem, which has become the largest of its kind in Africa. Further talks of developing a training programme for high-tech mould manufacturing are underway between the two parties.

“To have as a partner a high-tech mould supplier such as SabriScan is definitely a must to enable Morocco to become more competitive in [the] automobile sector,” commentedAbdelouahed Rahal, director of the automobile industry at the Ministry of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy of Morocco.

SabriScan opened a subsidiary in the country’s automotive industry hub, Tangier, in January 2019, due to the fact that Morocco is optimally located to serve the European and North American markets. The Moroccan ecosystem aims to manufacture a million cars annually.

“The letter of intent with them is revolutionary for us,” stated Jari Kokkonen, CEO at SabriScan. “Now we have much better opportunities to serve global clients from all over the world coming to Morocco.”

“This might also attract more companies to come to Morocco,” he added.

“SabriScan is right now the first mould supplier to have an opportunity to access the ecosystem agreement in Morocco,” said Jari Kokkonen. Image: SabriScan
