Revenio acquires CenterVue
Finnish health technology company Revenio is acquiring CenterVue, an Italian company with a strong portfolio of eye diagnostics devices.
Revenio has agreed to purchase the entire share capital of CenterVue for 59 million euros. The Finnish company will also pay an additional one million euros upon completion of the terms of the additional purchase price by the end of 2020.
The acquisition will be made by Revenio’s Italian subsidiary, Revenio Italy, which the Finnish company has set up for the purpose.
“Well managed and profitably growing companies like CenterVue are few and far between, and I am extremely pleased that, as a result of our active investigation, we are taking ownership of this excellent company,” said Timo Hildén, CEO of Revenio.
“In accordance with Revenio’s growth strategy, we are implementing an acquisition that will significantly expand our product portfolio and position in our core area, the diagnostics of glaucoma. CenterVue’s product portfolio represents the latest patented technology and will provide us with an excellent foundation for future growth,” he added.
The acquisition is expected to be completed in the first half of 2019.
