Qt to power digital cockpits with Neusoft
Finnish software company Qt has partnered with Chinese IT company Neusoft Corporation to deliver immersive driving experiences in China.
Qt’s software development framework will provide a foundation for Neusoft’s automotive digital instrument clusters to be fitted into the digital cockpits of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers.
Digital instrument clusters are key elements of digital cockpits, comprising screens, displays and user interfaces that deliver highly immersive driving experiences to motorists.
“We are delighted to see Neusoft selecting Qt as the primary digital instrument cluster technology for China’s automotive market,” saidJuhapekka Niemi, executive vice president for The Qt Company. “Qt is becoming the leading instrument cluster technology with highly advanced 2D and 3D features and integrated design tooling. Qt is suitable for low-end hardware solutions, as well as the very complex high-end hardware that supports the advanced features required in tomorrow’s digital cockpits.”
Qt has recently partnered with several developers of digital cockpit concepts, including LG Electronics Vehicle Component Solutions, Parrot Faurecia Automotive and French car manufacturer Peugeot.
