Novita’s handicraft awarded in the UK

The 20th annual award ceremony took place during CHSI Stitches, an important meeting point for handicraft brands, the press and other industry influencers, in Birmingham, the UK, in February.

Novita brought its yarns to John Lewis department stores across the UK last autumn, in addition to its online shop. Shoppers at the John Lewis & Partners department store on London’s Oxford Street could also take part in Novita’s wool sock clinics and learn Finnish knitting.

“The Novita teams’ infectious enthusiasm and passion for their craft reveals the family company’s success,” it was said during the award ceremony. “We expect Novita’s international growth to continue in 2019.”

Novita’s yarns are currently available internationally in the US, Australia, the UK and other European countries, through the Loveknitting, Deramores and Wool Warehouse online stores.

The Finnish family company made headlines earlier this year, when it launched its Moomin yarn collection, which it hopes will open up the Asian market for its wares.
