Finnish travel and event company Elämys Group has been appointed as the exclusive ticket reseller in Ireland for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games.

Elämys Group was given the contract worth between three and five million euros after a rigorous selection process by the Olympic Federation of Ireland (OFI).

“The Irish Olympics contract is a significant step for our company not only as a single project but also as an indication that our concept can handle the toughest international comparison,” said Elämys Group’s CEO Jussi Viskari, in a press release. “We beat the industry’s international market leaders ATPI in England and CoSport from the US.”

The deal covers the marketing rights and ticket sales for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games in Ireland. Elämys Group has previously made a similar deal with the Finnish Olympic Committee.

The next Summer Olympics will take place between 24 July and 9 August 2020 in Tokyo, Japan.
