Dyreparken goes digital with Yonoton

Dyreparken is the most visited theme park for families with children in Norway.Yonoton

Finnish digital service provider Yonoton has signed a deal with Norway’s biggest theme park, Dyreparken, to become the park’s long-term digital partner.

Yonoton’s app provides digital payments, communication methods, wayfinding and mobile positioning for the customer, and marketing and analytics tools for Dyreparken. All in all, it adds another customer service layer for the one million annual visitors at Dyreparken, tackling queues, streamlining customer service and enhancing customer safety.

“We reviewed several vendors and Yonoton’s versatility is really what convinced us to choose them. Our goal is to give our visitors a seamless digital experience while in Dyreparken,” explained André Steinsholm, head of e-commerce at Dyreparken.

The app incorporates the positioning technology of another Finnish company, Proximi.io, which is the only technology-agnostic platform that is able to combine all positioning technologies into actionable data in a matter of minutes.

“Dyreparken is a large complex area, where being able to accurately position the visitor for guiding them around and for providing location-based information about the park can make a big impact on the visitor experience,” commented Annina Koskiola, CEO of Proximi.io.

Dyreparken is located in South Norway, near Kristiansand, and consists of a zoo, an amusement park, a water park and four venues for accommodation. The digital service will be launched in the summer.
