Significant order for Pemamek from Portugal
Finnish welding and production automation solutions provider Pemamek has secured a contract to supply offshore heavy tubular structure manufacturing lines for ASM Industries (ASMI).
The delivery to the Portuguese renewable energy company includes hi-tech automation lines for its offshore wind turbine tower and foundation production. ASMI is building a new industrial production unit for offshore structures totalling 72 000 square metres at Aveiro Port. The fabrication area makes up 22 000 square metres of the factory.
This order is the latest development in a long-standing relationship between the two companies. The new contract is a continuation of an automated tubular structure production line for offshore foundations installed in 2017.
The entire delivery will enable ASMI to efficiently and flexibly fabricate offshore wind turbine towers and foundations, as well as transition-pieces, monopiles and pin-piles.
