MUJI is world-renowned for its minimalist household and consumer goods that come at an affordable price.MUJI

Japanese lifestyle brand MUJI is hosting a pop-up design store at the Kamppi shopping centre in the heart of the Finnish capital from 29 October to 20 January 2019.

This is the third time that MUJI pops up in Helsinki to offer interior design products, crockery, books, clothing and more. The pop-up store will also feature a What is MUJI exhibition that presents the brand concept and its most iconic products, some of which will be available at the store.

“We are proud to be able to open the third MUJI pop-up store in Helsinki,” saysTakuo Nagahara, CEO of MUJI Europe. “MUJI and Helsinki have a lot in common and we feel at home in the city. I wish people will visit our store and familiarise themselves with our culture and find everyday products from us.”

MUJI’s taste for Finnish culture was also evident this summer when Suomen Jäätelö‘s exotic ice cream flavours became a huge hit at MUJI stores around Europe. Finnish wellbeing brand CupofTherapy also made such an impression on MUJI’s chairman Masaaki Kanai that the two companies decided to publish a book in Japan together.

The philosophy behind MUJI is to offer simple, durable and affordable, yet high-quality and ecological, products to ordinary people, without revealing their designers as part of its no-brand policy. The company currently has 900 stores around the world with more than 7 000 products to choose from.
