Kodit.io brings home EUR 1.7 million in funding
The Finnish i-buyer Koti.io has completed a 1.7 million-euro funding round led by Speedinvest x and Schibsted and supported by Icebreaker.vc to expand to new EU cities.
The property technology service Kodit.io, provided by the Finnish Homerun Technologies, has continued its surge in the real estate service market by bringing home 1.7 million euros in funding. Founded in 2017, Homerun Technologies is set to expand its service further in the very lucrative market.
“We have followed the progress of Kodit.io closely since their launch and have been impressed by the team’s execution skills, attitude and capacity,” says Jussi Lystimäki, vice president for the global investment team at Schibsted Marketplaces. “Kodit.io has a chance to become the leader in many markets in Europe.“
Kodit.io is an AI-powered platform that uses thousands of data points to enable homeowners a fast evaluation and selling process, offering an evaluation and cash quote in just 24 hours.
“Its approach to revolutionising the way of buying and selling homes means a true disruption to the massive European real estate market,” says Mathias Ockenfels, partner at Speedinvest x.
Kodit.io recently announced a partnership with Finland’s biggest real estate listing site Oikotie and has already facilitated the purchase of more than 80 properties. The service’s reach is currently seven cities in Finland and Estonia, but with the new funding the success-emboldened startup is looking to Southern and Eastern Europe.
“During the past eight months, we have seen how significantly our technology and close co-operation with real estate investors, realtors and listing portals improves the home selling and buying process,” explains Kodit.io founder Kalle Salmi. “After more than 100 customers in Finland and Estonia, we are super excited to have Speedinvest x and Schibsted on board to support our growth in Europe.”
