HoxHunt funded for EUR 2.5 million
HoxHunt, a Finnish startup behind a gamified cyber security platform, has received substantial funding to accelerate international growth.
The funding round was led by London-based Dawn Capital, with participation from existing investors Icebreaker.vc, a Finnish venture capital fund, and Risto Siilasmaa, chairman of Nokia and founder of F-Secure.
HoxHunt is on a mission to turn employees from a company’s weakest link into the strongest asset against cyber attacks. Its gamified SaaS platform trains employees against phishing and other types of attacks, and is complete with competition and rewards for real-time reporting and protection against cyber attacks.
“By making security fun and engaging, employees become the force that defeats cyber attacks,” says Mika Aalto, CEO and co-founder of HoxHunt, in a release. “Our employees first approach to threat-hunting results in rapid response and remediation. HoxHunt integrates seamlessly into an employee’s work environment and gets them excited to compete with their peers.”
“Our partnership with Dawn Capital will provide significant expertise for penetrating the European market before we scale internationally to better serve our current and future customers,” Aalto continues.
HoxHunt has so far won over clients in 75 countries, including large Nordic companies such as IKEA and KONE.
