Finnish digital engagement startup Future Dialog has provided a mobile community engagement platform to Järva County in Estonia.

Järva is the first Estonian county to have implemented such a platform in order to engage its citizens in developing services and to get to know them.

Nowadays, it’s important to get close to municipal citizens and understand their views and preferences,” saysRait Pihelgas, Järva’s municipality governor. “Järva County has set ambitious goals for getting to know its citizens and committing them to developing the county. Utilising a digital engagement platform enables extensive collection of feedback from the municipal citizens, effortlessly, while offering the citizens a time- and place-independent channel to be directly in contact with the municipality.”

Future Dialog’s community engagement solutions have already been put to use in Finland by cities such as Porvoo and Hyvinkää, and by the Social Democratic Party (SDP), for example.
