Three Finnish films have been nominated for the Nordic:Dox Award at the 2018 Copenhagen International Documentary Festival (CPH:DOX).

Produced by Isabella Karhu and directed by Juho-Pekka Tanskanen, Waiting for Barcelona sheds light on the plight of undocumented immigrants who resort to collecting scrap metal and selling counterfeit goods to survive in the underbelly of Barcelona, one of the most visited cities in the world.

Meanwhile, Jukka Kärkkäinen and J-P Passi’s The Punk Voyage continues the story of 2012’s The Punk Syndrome as the developmentally impaired punk band heads to Eurovision.

The winner of Nordic:Dox will be announced at CPH:DOX’s Award Ceremony on 23 March at Kunsthal Charlottenborg.
