Finnish startups raise substantial coin
Finnish mobile invoicing service Klever and insect food producer Entis have closed substantial seed funding rounds.
Klever secured 1.5 million euros in funding altogether with the help of the Finnish crowdfunding platform Invesdor. The Klever app gathers all invoices in one place, sends notifications for when they are received and due, bundles payment reminders with the original invoices and confirms payments with a single swipe.
The Finnish startup is also launching new, ground-breaking services later this year in co-operation with the largest invoice distributors, banks and financiers in the Nordic region. Its new m-Invoice service promises to be the fastest and most cost-efficient invoicing channel, while the new m-Platform service is to change how invoices are paid by enabling invoice financing for consumer bills.
Meanwhile, in its first funding round, insect food brand Entis raised 200 000 euros, with which the company plans to commercialise and internationalise its new product family and support the growth of its existing offering.
The lead investor in the round was Aboa Advest, with participation from Aura Pääomasijoitus, Monttu Ventures, Sofokus Push, Hercculia, Laiterä Consulting and SilentQuote.
Founded last year, Entis’s cricket chocolate and cricket smoothie product families have already hit the food store shelves, while its next product family will be launched by the end of August.
