Finnish digital workplace startup Happeo will use the funding to scale up product development, hire new personnel and boost international growth.

The funding round was led by Finnish venture capital firms Maki.vc and Vendep.

Happeo is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) digital workplace platform that enables more efficient collaboration between the employees of large enterprises. Its clients include Finnish game developer Rovio and French lingerie brand Chantelle.

The platform was originally called Universe and was part of Finland’s leading Google Cloud provider, Gapps. However, the platform is currently being rebranded as Happeo.

“Last week we announced our new brand, Happeo, which describes our ultimate vision and purpose to make work a happier place,” says Happeo CEO Perttu Ojansuu, in an open letter published on the company’s blog today. “We wanted to make the rebranding announcement at this point, because we felt that this was perfect timing while we begin to scale at speed.”

According to Ojansuu, the company envisions all enterprise applications to be integrated into the same digital workplace in the future, so employees will stay more informed and finish their work faster.
