Finnish firms win orders globally
Two Finnish companies, Cargotec’s Kalmar and Valmet, have secured orders from Australia and Argentina, respectively.
First to Kalmar, which will provide mobile equipment to Australian Container Freight Services (ACFS) in Adelaide, Fremantle and Melbourne. The Kalmar Fleet Solution of mobile equipment allows the customer to purchase a rental fleet from Kalmar.
“With the fleet solution that Kalmar provides, we do not have to worry about breakdown and downtime as they are well covered by Kalmar in their fully maintained rental solution,” saysTim Holmes, general manager of ACFS. “This allows us to focus on our core business to deliver best class container freight logistics to our customers.”
Then on to Valmet, which is supplying an Advantage DCT tissue production line complete with an extensive automation package to Papelera San Andrés de Giles in Argentina. The order will help Papelera San Andrés de Giles with its expansion plans in the country.
“Our first contact with Valmet was at their Tissue Making Conference in Karlstad, Sweden in 2012,” saysSebastian Schiaffino, plant manager at Papelera San Andrés de Giles. “Since that moment, we have been convinced that Valmet’s technology is what we need to differentiate and keep our position as a frontrunner in the Argentinian tissue market.”
