Virpi Suutari’s documentary film Entrepreneur (Yrittäjä) has been picked for the Masters Selection of the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA).

The IDFA will be held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from 14 November to 25 November. Included in its Masters Selection are the latest films from auteurs with a cinematographic signature whose work the IDFA follows closely.

Suutari is one of Finland’s most well known documentary film directors internationally and her film Entrepreneur will feature in the selection alongside the works of Errol MorrisSophie Fiennes and Victor Kossakovsky, to name a few.

Since its world premiere at the Göteborg Film Festival in February, Entrepreneur has travelled far and wide, from the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival for its North American premiere all the way down under to the Sydney Film Festival.

Entrepreneur is a warm, dual portrait of entrepreneurship in contemporary Finland, told from two opposing perspectives.

The film is produced by Joonas Berghäll and Satu Majava from the Finnish production company Oktober.
